THERAPY FOR ANXIETY, DEPRESSION, GRIEF, ADDICTION & LIFE TRANSITIONS IN YORK, PA
Danielle Heist, LPC, CAADC, SAP, CT
Life changed. Now you’re figuring out what comes next.
Divorce. A job change. Recovery. Grief. A relationship that needs different boundaries. Sometimes life changes all at once; other times you realize the way you’ve been getting through things isn’t working as well anymore.
I work with people navigating anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, and major life transitions who want somewhere they can be honest about what’s happening- and practical support for moving forward.
HOW I WORK
Therapy can be supportive and practical at the same time.
I want therapy to feel like a place where you can talk openly without being judged, while also developing tools you can actually use outside of our sessions.
Our work may include strengthening coping skills, setting healthier boundaries, reducing stress, rebuilding self-esteem, or finding more balance during a difficult season of life.
I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), mindfulness, and an eclectic approach tailored to the person sitting in front of me.
AREAS OF FOCUS
Anxiety · Depression · Grief & Loss · Addiction & Recovery · Life Transitions · Stress · Boundaries · Self-Esteem · Individual Therapy · Group Therapy
You don’t have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy. We can start with what feels difficult right now and work from there.
