GROUP THERAPY AT TIDES OF CHANGE

Therapy doesn’t always have to happen one-on-one.

There’s something different about being in a room with people who understand parts of what you’re talking about because they’ve lived their own version of it.

Group therapy creates space to talk honestly, notice patterns, practice new ways of relating, learn from other perspectives, and build practical skills alongside people working through related concerns.

The groups at Tides of Change are facilitated by mental health clinicians and organized around specific experiences or areas of focus. Each group has its own structure, schedule, and participation requirements.

RELATIONSHIPS & DATING THERAPY GROUP

Real talk. Real connection.

Dating and relationships can get complicated quickly- what we want, what we tolerate, the patterns we keep finding ourselves in, and the pressure to have relationships figured out in the first place.

This therapy group brings adult men and women together in a supportive environment to explore romantic relationships, dating stress, barriers to connection, and healthier ways of relating to others and themselves.

The group focuses on:

Processing relationship and dating stress
Talk through the parts of dating and relationships that feel difficult, confusing, or repetitive.

Recognizing barriers and patterns
Notice what keeps showing up in relationships and begin understanding it differently.

Building healthier interaction skills
Practice ways of communicating and connecting that support healthier relationships.

Developing greater self-compassion
Make room for your own needs, experiences, and humanity in the process.

Facilitated by: Sabrina Wegele, LAPC
Who: Adults
When: Every other Thursday, 5:30–7:00 PM
Where: 1406 Third Ave., York, PA 17403

WHAT GROUP THERAPY CAN OFFER

You’re still doing your own work.

Group therapy isn’t about everyone having the same story.

People can come into the room with different histories, relationships, personalities, and experiences while still finding common ground around the reason the group exists.

Depending on the group, sessions can create opportunities to process experiences, recognize patterns, practice coping or relationship skills, hear perspectives you wouldn’t encounter in individual therapy, and experience support from people doing their own work alongside you.

You don’t have to become the loudest person in the room for group therapy to be meaningful.
