PLAY THERAPY & CHILD AND TEEN THERAPY IN YORK, PA
Jill Buhler, LPC
Kids don’t always need more words. Sometimes they need another way to communicate.
With more than 25 years of experience, I specialize in working with children, teens, and families, with particular experience in play therapy, grief and loss, anxiety, and life transitions.
For children who don’t yet have the words for everything they’re feeling, therapy can offer other ways to express what’s happening and begin making sense of it.
HOW I WORK
Therapy should make sense for the age of the person in the room.
As a Child-Centered Play Therapist (CCPT), I use play to help children express themselves, process emotions, and build resilience.
I also incorporate sand tray and expressive arts, giving children and teens creative ways to explore experiences that can be difficult to explain directly. With teenagers, I often integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to support coping, confidence, and healthier thought patterns.
